Our sanctuary has been approaching capacity for the last several months and people have been leavinng because of the lack of comfortable seating. We have, over the past several decades, reached a height of over three hundred in attendance but have always dropped back down to a smaller amount. These were the problems that our church needed to address.

 

In response we formed a exploratory committee to see what options were available. After much research and prayer the committee brought a motion forth to begin the process of building a new worship center. This was the best option to meet our current needs as well as looking forward to our growth.

 

On August the fourth the motion was passed with 192 members voting, 156 saying yes, and 35 saying no. It was required that the motion pass with 75% of the votes cast as yes. The official total is 82% saying yes that we need build.

 

Praise be to God for His great provision and His vision that He is casting for our church. Please remember to be in prayer for the building committee as it is chosen and for wisdom as we move forward reaching the lost for Christ, discipling Christians, and above all else Glorifying God by growing His Kingdom here in Dyer and beyond!
