Continue in Prayer

Thanks for your continual prayers and support! We are so thankful for you and our faithful prayer warriorsl!
We went Friday morning for Kathy's appointment with Dr. Kirby Smith in Germantown. He and the staff were very helpful and kind. After looking at all the medical records we brought from Costa Rica, a battery of medical history questions, and examining Kathy, he said the same thing as the cancer doctor did in Costa Rica. Since there are no other symptoms, other than the swollen lymph nodes from the CAT scans done in Costa Rica revealed, he thinks that Kathy needs the PET scan first, and then if cancer is detected a biopsy will be required. Kathy was sure dreading the bone marrow biopsy, and actually felt relieved that she did not have to undergo the "needle biopsy" today. He scheduled Kathy for the PET scan for Tuesday morning at St Francis Hospital in Memphis. Since it will be so close to Christmas Day, we may not get the results until after Christmas. Kathy and I both feel encouraged after the visit with Dr. Smith. We are especially appreciative of all the emails and calls assuring us of love and prayers...indeed we feel the love and we believe in the power of prayer!
