Ecuador Mission Trip 2010

By Doug Duncan |  December 15, 2010

In June of 2010, our team of 21 members had a sudden
change in plans due to a mechanical problem with our
plane taking us from Memphis to Atlanta.  Due to our not
getting out of Memphis, we missed our flight to Quito and
subsuquently came home late that night!  However, we
regrouped, prayed more, and with God opening the doors,
we had a 16 member team that served in Quito in
September.  Our focus was on our wellness clinic and
personal evangelism.  We visited neighborhoods in the
mornings witnessing and inviting people to the free clinic
held each afternoon at the local church.  Also, in the
afternoon, each person who came thru our clinic for
blood pressure checks, blood sugars, and free eye glasses, were also presented the gospel through our evangelism team.  Each member of the team did an
AWESOME job either in child care, registration, the
wellness clinic, and the evangelism team.  The Lord
used our team in a mighty way, the local church there,
and the Lord was exalted through the work of the team.
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to serve!
Bro. DeWayne is leading us now to pray for God's direction for Missions 2011.  We have passed out brochures with missions opportunities listed for Ecuador
in June and September, Romania in Oct or November,
Brazil in March,May,Sept and November.  We also
are praying about a stateside trip to Iowa in July.
Be praying about where the Lord would have you serve,
of course, we should always put our first emphasis on
serving the Lord where we are planted!!
God Bless you!
