Look at the Pictures

FROM THE HILLS OF ROMANIA:
Pictures are still worth a thousand words. I can tell you about the fantastic mission trip Bob took with 9 Roma (gypsy) men to Macedonia. I can tell you about the Gibson County dental/evangelism team and the 330+ teeth they pulled and the children they played with. I can tell you the blessing of servanthood as Bob cut winter wood for those in need. I can describe little children peeking through windows to watch the dentist, or how a gypsy man with an accordian draws an immediate crowd, or how blessed we are to see “our” young people share the gospel and pray with the lost. I can tell you how sad it is to see the filth and the poverty and the hopelessness on city streets or what it's like to cry with those who have no money for winter wood or medicine for their children. I can tell you about the light in the eye of a dirty child as you give them a hug and a candy, or what it's like to have a group of gypsy women listening intently as you share with them about the heart of Jesus. I can tell you that the angels sing and the people shout when a lost soul is found in the arms of Jesus. I can tell you what it's like to kneel on a cold, concrete floor and pray with faithful gypsy women, as they cry out to Jesus. I can tell you what it's like to have men say, “who will come and share the Bible with us after you leave?” I can tell you so many things about the life of a missionary, about the lostness of the world, about the needs of the poor, and about the reasons you should GIVE to Lottie Moon Christmas offerings. But look at the pictures. Look and see what your money does. Look and see ….............................
