Romania Mission Trip

By Doug Duncan |  September 25, 2008

A sixteen member team left First Baptist Dyer on Sept 4th and returned Sept 13th to serve in Braila, Romania with our own missionaries, Bob and Gayle Hill. The team was led by Bro. Jerry Legg of FBC Dyer. Other team members from our church were Ronnie and Nancy West, Steve Littleton (now in school in New Orleans), Bo Booth, Bob Barron, Doug and Karen Duncan, and our pastor, DeWayne Goodgine. Stuart and Danny Dunn from FBC Rutherford, Joey Hays from New Hope (Dyer), Jere and Rachel Cox, and Phyllis Escue from FBC Milan, and Jenna Warner from Cordova completed the 16 member team. Bob and Gayle Hill led our team in home Bible studies in 2 of their mission points, Spiru Haret and Insuratei. Our goal was to disciple those believers in a study of John as well as share the gospel with those who had not yet professed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Our team also led in children's ministry in both areas. There were several professions of faith and hopefully many believers drawn closer in their walk with the Lord. Our team was blessed beyond measure having the opportunity to share with the Romany. We covet your prayers as we seek God's leadership in our mission efforts for 2009. We give all praise and glory to the Lord for what He is doing at FBC Dyer in our call to missions.
Won't you pray about being part of our next team?
